Re: AT&T and Alltel Merger
I was asking about the 3gs Iphone, i know that one uses a regular size card, the I- 4 uses a smaller one. that's something I will have to look for also new technologhy to figure out.
I guess theroretically you can sell the phone, the person would have to add the BB pln to it I think dunno, be noce to keep both and still have BBM contacts to those that keep a BB.
Re: AT&T and Alltel Merger
For those of you that have gotten your packets does anyone know what the phones that they offer for the BB curve and also what are the prices to update to a better phone? Is it the same cost as if you joined at&t outside of the merger? Just curious As i am in one of the last areas to choose our phones.
Re: AT&T and Alltel Merger
I have the Blackberry Curve 8330 and the options I was given online were
Blackberry Curve 3G 9300
Pantech Link - Black
Nokia 6350 - Red
Samsung a777 - Blue
Samsung Strive - Black
Samsung Eternity II
Samsung Rugby II - Black
Palm Pre Plus - Black
HTC Aria - Black
Motorola Tundra - Grey
And I was also given the option to change the plan to a new AT&T plan so I image it'd be like starting a new contract or upgrading a current one. For example, you can get an iPhone for $99 with a 2 year contract.
Re: AT&T and Alltel Merger
Do you know how much it is for the BB torch?
Re: AT&T and Alltel Merger
My upgrade options show the Blackberry Torch is $99
Re: AT&T and Alltel Merger
They're ****ing me off already. When that upgrade link was first posted, the Bold 9700 was an option (and my recommended one at that). Now they've removed that and are only offering the Curve 9300.
I paid for two Tour 9630's and they just want to trash those and force me to the Curve? The Curve is like a toy phone compared to the Tour.
No, I don't want a Torch or an iPhone. I want the Bold.

A coworker of mine has had much more success with getting info by calling AT&T customer service rather than relying on what's online. Seems the online offerings are very restricted and not terribly accurate (esp. regarding the plans)

I have a Tour and it is the worst phone I've ever had. If I could take it outside and smash it against my house I would. iPhone 4 it is for me
Re: AT&T and Alltel Merger
Were not getting any discount to upgrade, if you want a 3g I-phone it's $99 a 4g $199. I agree about the curve thats what I have and ATT curve doesn't have GPS feature that we can use, if that's the case I'm going to call and see about getting the Torch no caost just because it has the GPS feature, so we should get a same phone with same features.
Re: AT&T and Alltel Merger
After seeing this I'm gonna go witha 3GS, looks like it will be major issues and problems down the road for the 4.
